Why Do People Think Democrats Are Anti-Gun?

Jesse Jackson decided to take a dump on the constitution.

Washington, D.C., is already a model city for draconian gun laws, but Jesse thinks we need more laws. Maybe he should tell the criminals to behave themselves.

Jesse, you should speak out against assault limes as well.

Now It’s for the Soldiers

I thought it was for the children.

It’s too bad for Herr Rosenthal that the U.S. Constitution doesn’t confer the right to determine what the constitution means on the pansy-assed liberals who inhabit newspaper editorial boards.

Not to make light of suicides in the military, but the anti-gun bigots are grasping at straws. They can cite various kinds of tragic events until the cows come home, but those are not legitimate reasons to infringe on the rights of Americans.

I want to be clear: the New York Times editorial board does not oppose gun ownership. We believe the Second Amendment confers a communal right on Americans to own guns – not an individual one.

Communal? That sounds a lot like communist.

Oh yeah, that’s some flame/troll bait right there.

Be sure and check out the comments, too. There are some doozies, like the one pointed out by Thirdpower.

Gun registration is merely the means and forerunner to confiscation.

And, quite franky, it’s none of the government’s business who owns guns and what kinds of guns they are.

In other words, keep your laws out of my gun safe.

Kids and Guns

Oh, the huge manatee!

How to be a Retronaut has a great photo essay by Life Magazine of a gun safety class at an Indiana school in 1956. Those boys look like they’re enthralled.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with learning gun safety in school. Now, however, thanks to anti-gun bigots, a student who merely draws a picture of a gun can get into serious trouble.

Where on earth are the girls? Cooking class?
Ugh, the fifties.

It’s Not a Pistol, It’s Not a Rifle, It’s Not an AOW

It just is.

Rifling: Not Just for Bullets Anymore

So the story on recent advancements in spud gun technology has been making the rounds. This advancement being rifled barrels.

I’m sure you’re all, like me, curious about twist rates. Do smaller potatoes require a slower twist rate than larger potatoes? If you spin a potato too fast, will its skin fly off? Are we going to be seeing these devices on cooking shows? “Stay tuned and we’ll show you how to peel a potato, and have fun while doing it.”

As for support for this new advancement, I think the (and you’ll forgive me for doing this) eyes have it.

A Handy Guide to Shooting Simulations

Robb Allen, well-known advocate for a pantsless society, offers a guide to simulate a fully automatic firearm.

I take offense at his lack of respect for the Glock 22, though. A half stick of dynamite would offer a more realistic simulation.

A Gunblogger Lexicon

Thirdpower at Days of our Trailers posted a gun blogger’s lexicon.

It’s helpful for those not up on all of our lingo.

The Gun Salesman of the Millennium Wants Even More Guns Sold

Whenever a hoplophobe (read democrat) talks about gun control, gun sales spike.

But Obama supports the Second Amendment.

40 Reasons to Ban Guns

Well I’m convinced.

Who’s Writing About Gun Owners?

Everyone else is posting this, so, like a lemming, I will too.

Cracked.com does an exposé on gun nuts, er, owners.
